Many Aboriginal artists express both their traditions and modern life through music and visual arts.

Some aboriginal artists are very well known in Quebec and even elsewhere in the world. For example, Nadia Myre is an anishinabe (algonquin) artist, who creates works combining photography, sculpture, painting and installations, and who participates in exhibitions in Canada, the United States and Europe. Her works make viewers think about identity (who am I?).

Allen Grégoire is an innu sculptor who uses materials from the land to create his art: moose antlers, stones, caribou bones…he is inspired by the stories he was told as a youngster.
