Many Aboriginal people had a hard time finishing high school for a variety of reasons. For example, the long distances separating young people from schools make getting an education difficult. But Aboriginal communities and governments are actively striving to change the situation, to improve the living conditions of all Aboriginal people.
And it is working. More and more Aboriginal youth are not only getting their high school diplomas, but also trade school certificates, college diplomas and university degrees.
When populations have a better level of education, the whole community benefits: more companies are created and running, there are more teachers and therefore more students who finish their studies, there is better health care, etc.
