Social networks, from Facebook to Instagram, have a significant impact in all societies, including the First Peoples. As in the past with radio for example, social networks can eliminate big distances between communities, distribute information and bring people together to work on projects, or simply keep in touch.
Communication tools such as Skype also allow students from Aboriginal schools to do projects with students from other schools and to have access to virtual tours of places that are interesting but far away from home.
