The habitat is where a group of people live. The flora, fauna and climate of a habitat change the lifestyle of the people who live there.
Among the First Peoples, some settled in a forest habitat, others in a northern habitat, and others in riparian habitat. As a result, the dwellings they built varied according to the habitat: from the longhouse to the wigwam to the igloo. Similarly, food and objects made for hunting, fishing and foraging also varied, from terracotta pots to meat dryers.
