Tala takes care of Aline with Aboriginal recipes. Aline learns to garden and make moccasins and snowshoes. Aline is all better. She returns to her village with her baby. Isabelle tells her new students the legend of Tala, Aline and her baby. Tala meets Aline and her baby near a river. She takes them to the longhouse. Isabelle falls asleep at the foot of a tree. A bird appears in her dream.
