  • After reading:
    • Re-read passages from the story and ask students to connect them to the legend or the play.
    • Do the activity.

  • Before reading, discuss different recall strategies with the students (rephrasing ideas, drawing elements, taking notes, underlining words, etc.)
  • While reading, give students time to silently rephrase what has been read.
  • After reading:
    • Let the children rebuild the story with ideas given by all of the students.
    • Do the activity.
